Helvetica Labs
Helvetica Labs is an applied research lab building AI-enabled tools for learning and education. We're working on making gestalt solutions to the trickiest problems in education, starting out by bringing frontier AI to computer science education.
In 1896 a new kind of school emerged. Lab schools, a creation of John Dewey, were founded at the University of Chicago. To be an effective learner was to be a participant in community, and to learn was to be a problem solver, not a memorization machine.
To do so, lab schools employ experiential education, where learners works hands-on, or in other words, learn by doing.
Our work is finished when there are enough high-quality schools to meet the needs of students worldwide. But until then, there is a great need for:
- Robust tools for hands-on learning
- AI literacy for tomorrow's economy
- Personalized learning beyond a tutor
If this interests you, we'd love to hear from you.
